Hello, My Name Is...

Please allow me to introduce myself...Hello, my name is Igneous Rock (that is what I tell people to call me). I am a simple man with simple thoughts in a simple world where people make matters complicated. I was born and raised in The Bronx a.k.a. Planet Rock. Being a Bronx native and being the age that I am, I have grown up alongside the culture of Hip-Hop. As a 'shorty' from The Bronx coming up...I have seen the B-Boy battles, the graffiti on the trains, the park jams and block parties. I grew up in The James Monroe Houses in the Soundview section of The Bronx. On hot summer days in the late 80's...we played in 'The Pump', purchased sugary sweets from 'The Truck' and played baseball in 'The Little Park' (as opposed to the bigger park across the street in which a number of us were to young to cross by ourselves). I have also witnessed the crack epidemic as close as a person could...as a child...because I had and have to this day numerous relatives on drugs (including my birth mother). Life is...well...LIFE!!! We live, we learn and we love...that's life. This is my first blog entry ever...I will be more creative in my writing on later entries...I promise...this blog is another creative outlet for me and I plan to use my creativity to the fullest...but at the moment...this is just an introduction to me as a person. I decided to blog because I was inspired by other bloggers and I like to share my ponderings and/or observations and such. I titled this blog 'Research & Development' because I see life as just that...research and development. Some posts might be ramblings or rants...others may be insightful...depending on how much you, the reader, pays attention...who knows...I may even share cooking recipes and offer relationship advice...depending on which hat I am wearing on that particular day. I am very imaginative...and this will be my outlet...so I hope whoever reads and follows these posts...enjoy them...peace....oh...and I would like to give a special, special, special shout out to my ppls...Dan Tres Omi for the talk this morning about venturing into the blogosphere...(is that what it is called?)...now back to your regularly scheduled programming...peace...and have...have fuuuuuuuuun!
